Our Stay at Castaway Cottage Fife July

We had a lovely week at Castaway Cottage, 3rd year in a row. The cottage has become synonymous with summer holiday in my family's mind.

Best Wishes

Our summer stay at Castaway Cottage Fife September

Just a note to let you know that we had a wonderful time at the cottage.  The location was perfect and the weather could not have been better.

My sister and brother-in-low from Calgary were so taken with the cottage and Lower Largo.

Needless to say we spent quite a bit of time at the Crusoe and the Railway Inn.  My brother and brother in law especially loved the Railway Inn.

Once again many thanks.

Am emailing belatedly to say what a lovely week we had in Castaway at the end of August. It was made all the better by extending it over the bank holiday weekend.

We weren't sure how to post a message on the guestbook site (am ok on email, not so good with blogs etc!) so have taken ages to send a comment.

We just want to say that we enjoyed our second stay as much as our first. The cottage is very comfortable and the location great. It offered the peace & relaxation that we wanted. Our daughter loved having the freedom to roam on the beach without an over protective parent hovering (too) close by!

We loved Lower Largo and the food at the Crusoe Hotel was gorgeous. We visited other local beaches -Cambo sands being our favourite - as well as Kellie Castle & the Scottish Deer Centre. We also went in to Edinburgh & St Andrews. All in all it was a really lovely holiday. We even got some sunshine!

We hope to stay again next time we come to Fife.

Kind Regards

Helen

We hope to stay there again in spring and will book in the usual way.

The coastal road is scenic and gives easy access to pretty fishing villages, Crail, Elie and Pittenweem to name a few. A short drive away is the stunning city of St Andrews, the views of which as you head in from Lower Largo are spectacular.

I would recommend this spot to anyone, whether wanting complete escapism, a great base to explore the local area or a great family break with the beach on your doorstep.

Must add that, one day whilst there, I read in the paper that there were 340,000 people on Bournemouth beach that day. On the beach at Lower Largo there were dog walkers, a family playing rounders and me! Fantastic!

Out of dozens of vacation rentals I've stayed in, this was easily the best. Pictures don't do justice. Phenomenal suite. Quiet, beautiful town with lots to do outdoors. It was heaven!

Gorgeous. Beautifully designed with some very thoughtful touches by the hosts. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and gave helpful tips about local restaurants/area.
